I was waiting in line at the smoothie stand in the mall last Saturday and heard a kerfuffle coming near me. I turned around and ten feet away were two men running towards me in a brawl. One of them pinned the other against a large decorative trashcan and held him there while the man shouted that he couldn’t breathe and “didn’t do nothing wrong.” I just stood there staring like one of those bystanders you hear about on Dateline who fails to help someone being attacked.
